Exactly a week ago I launched Queen of the Night at my part-time workplace Readings (I had to deny the urge to jump behind the info counter and answer customer questions). As with the launch of This Is Shyness, the evening was a bit of a blur – a very lovely, exciting, warm-fuzzy kind of blur. Not only were my family and friends and colleagues there, but also fellow authors and editors and blogger/reviewers and People From The Internet. I am probably the worst person to report on the night, but you can find wrap-ups and pics courtesy of Braiden and Megan.
I was lucky enough to have uber-author Cath Crowley launch my book. Cath has kindly posted her launch speech here. Two books in, I’m pinching myself to even be regarded as a peer by someone as accomplished as Cath, let alone have her say such lovely things about my work!
And now, in honour of red velour jumpsuits (a detail that more than a few people have picked up on – I do have fun deciding what Nia wears), please enjoy a veritable parade of onesies.
